Simi Thapar

Driven by the passion to follow the instructions of her Master, Simi took a plunge into community service by being at the helm of every activity of Sa-Ni-Sa since its inception.

Simi is a professional in the field of Financial Services and is currently employed with Tata Capital Financial Services Ltd., Mumbai as Head Leasing Corporate Finance Division. She is MBA in Finance besides having completed her M.Com, DBM and DBF.

During her two decades career, she has been instrumental in setting up new business units and branch offices for the Employers which involved honing the skills of people at individual level, building up an effective team and relationship management with multinationals and large corporates.

She has seamlessly merged her business insights with welfare activities and has been instrumental in every aspect of the Society from its formation to enabling training sessions for rural women and launching and positioning new products of the NGO in the market. Her active participation and innovative thinking has opened new vistas for Sa-Ni-Sa and has enabled the organization to support sustainable empowerment for needy women. Her unstinted dedication and hard work has seen many dream projects become a reality.

Under her leadership, in a very short span, the NGO has been patronized by leading corporates under their ‘CSR’ initiative and it has been recipient of awards in recognition of its work.

She has been privileged to be the guest faculty at Reserve Bank of India for its educational programs for the Finance Companies. Besides she has also been a guest faculty to management students at the Somaiya College in Mumbai.

On a day to day basis under the guidance of her Mentor, she yearns to adopt the principles of Vitraag Vigyaan, the eternal scientific path for Self-Actualisation. She feels that having met her Master has transformed her life from being religious to spiritual and she strongly opines that only a lighted candle can enlighten another candle.
